Indian actress Ananya Raj has died at the age of 27, with her family confirming her death nearly a month later through a statement posted on her official Instagram account.
According to her family, Ananya passed away in her sleep in the early hours of July 15. She had reportedly been facing physical and mental health challenges for more than a year.
In the statement, her family said the actress had bravely battled her difficulties and remained strong throughout the ordeal. They asked fans to pray for her and requested privacy as they mourned her death.
Ananya, who was raised in Mumbai, had worked in Hindi and regional films and entered the entertainment industry through films and music videos.
She made her Bollywood debut in 2016 with 7 Hours to Go. She later appeared in The Final Exit in 2017 and Ghost in 2019. She also worked in a Telugu film and the trilingual movie Madrasi Gang.
