Arrest Warrants Issued for Former KP Chief Minister

A district and sessions court has issued arrest warrants for a former Khyber Pakhtunkhwa chief minister and his co-accused after they failed to appear for a hearing in an ongoing case.

The absence of the accused also prevented the prosecution from recording statements from its witnesses.

Taking notice of their non-appearance, the court ordered the issuance of arrest warrants and adjourned further proceedings until October 17.

The case relates to an alleged audio leak and was registered at a police station in Islamabad against the former chief minister and other accused.
