Israeli television channels 12 and KAN, along with newspapers Haaretz and The Jerusalem Post, reported that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu made an unannounced one-day visit to the United Arab Emirates.
According to the reports, Netanyahu travelled to the UAE to meet President Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
The Israeli prime minister’s office did not immediately comment on the reports.
Israel and the UAE established diplomatic relations in 2020 under the US-brokered Abraham Accords. The reported visit comes as the Middle East remains embroiled in the ongoing Israel-US conflict with Iran.
