The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) is set to launch its march from Lakki Marwat on October 4, with the procession scheduled to make stopovers in Karak and Kohat before reaching Peshawar.
According to the schedule, the first stopover will be in Karak on October 4, followed by Kohat on October 5. The caravans are expected to depart from Kohat for Peshawar on October 6.
Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi will lead the march and is expected to leave from Gandi Chowk in Lakki Marwat at 1pm on October 4.
Caravans from Dera Ismail Khan, Tank, South Waziristan and Bannu will converge in Lakki Marwat before joining the main procession.
PTI’s parliamentary party leader in the National Assembly Shahid Khattak and Information Minister Shafi Jan confirmed that Afridi would lead the march. Former KP chief minister Ali Amin Gandapur is also expected to participate.
The march is being organised to demand expedited hearings in cases involving PTI founder Imran Khan, improved medical treatment for him at Shifa International Hospital and an end to restrictions on meetings with him.
