Police foiled drone attacks targeting two check posts in the Wahova area of Dera Ghazi Khan, with one police employee sustaining minor injuries, officials said.
According to police, militants targeted the Jhangi police picket and Lakhani check post using drones carrying explosives. Three bombs were dropped at the Jhangi post, with one striking the roof and two landing outside the facility.
At the Lakhani check post, two bombs were dropped, one hitting the rooftop and another landing in the courtyard.
Police personnel responded immediately and returned fire, forcing the attackers to flee. A search operation was subsequently launched in the surrounding area, while security and surveillance measures were intensified.
Dera Ghazi Khan District Police Officer Sadiq Baloch said police teams had reached the area and were carrying out a search for the attackers.
