Three people, including two young brothers, were killed after a dilapidated wall of a Union Council (UC) office collapsed in Ghazi Goth, Karachi’s Malir district, police said.
Malir City police official Rana Abdul Rasheed said the UC-2 office was located near a rickshaw stand when the deteriorating wall suddenly collapsed, injuring two passers-by and a motorcyclist.
The motorcyclist, identified as 25-year-old Faiz Abbas, and one of the passers-by, 14-year-old Abrar, died at the scene.
Abrar’s six-year-old brother, Abyan, sustained serious injuries and was rushed to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) for treatment. However, he later succumbed to his injuries at the hospital.
