ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s services exports increased by 18.81pc in FY26, mainly driven by strong growth in information technology earnings, official data showed.
In rupee terms, exports rose 19.33pc to Rs2.815 trillion. June exports also jumped 37.2pc year-on-year to $955.91 million.
Telecommunications, computer and information services remained the leading contributors, with exports rising 20.42pc to $4.60bn. Other business services grew 27.22pc to $2.15bn, while travel services surged 52.74pc to $1.115bn. Transport services, however, fell 6.61pc to $933m.
Services imports increased 5.67pc to $11.93bn, driven mainly by transport and travel, which rose to $4.88bn and $2.91bn, respectively.
The services trade deficit narrowed by 33.38pc to $1.894bn in FY26 from $2.843bn a year earlier.
