Pakistan Single Window (PSW) has introduced a remote biometric verification facility that allows users to complete verification for subscription, subscription renewal and profile updates without visiting a biometric verification centre in person.
Previously, users were required to appear physically at designated verification centres to complete the biometric process. Following the integration with the PakID mobile application, eligible users can now complete verification remotely, subject to applicable requirements.
The facility is expected to provide greater convenience to overseas Pakistanis involved in trade-related activities, allowing eligible users to complete their PSW biometric verification from abroad without travelling to Pakistan solely for this purpose.
During an interim period, both verification options will remain available. Users can either complete the process digitally through the PakID mobile application or continue using physical verification centres.
The integration removes the only physical visit previously required during the PSW subscription process, allowing the onboarding procedure to be completed entirely online.
The initiative is part of broader efforts to expand digital services, improve accessibility and simplify procedures for businesses and other PSW users.
