Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Poland’s Minister and Coordinator of Special Services Tomasz Siemoniak have reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries.
The understanding was reached during a meeting with Siemoniak, who is currently visiting Pakistan on an official trip.
According to the Prime Minister’s Office, Shehbaz expressed satisfaction with the positive progress in Pakistan-Poland relations and reiterated Islamabad’s desire to turn their longstanding friendship into a strong, long-term and multifaceted partnership.
The prime minister highlighted recent engagements between the two countries and stressed the importance of leadership-level exchanges in further expanding bilateral ties.
He also called for greater interaction between the business communities of Pakistan and Poland to promote economic cooperation and trade.
Shehbaz appreciated Poland’s support for Pakistan under the European Union’s GSP Plus scheme and expressed confidence that bilateral cooperation would continue to expand across various sectors.
The two sides also discussed key regional and international issues, including the prevailing situation in the Middle East.
