A delegation comprising Supreme Court Justices Irfan Saadat Khan and Naeem Akhter Afghan represented Pakistan at the seventh congress of the Association of Asian Constitutional Courts (AACC) in Samarkand, Uzbekistan.
The congress concluded with the adoption of the Samarkand Declaration, which reaffirmed constitutional supremacy, judicial independence, human rights and the rule of law as key foundations of democratic governance.
The declaration also highlighted the potential of digital technology to enhance transparency, improve the efficiency and quality of judicial processes, and ensure equal access to justice.
