Alleged Assault of Azerbaijani Woman in Lahore: Video of Diana in Bridal Attire Emerges

The case involving the alleged gang assault of Diana, a foreign national from Azerbaijan, in Lahore has taken several new and significant turns. A hearing was held at the Lahore Cantt Kachehri regarding the physical remand of arrested suspect Muskan, while important documents and videos have also emerged regarding Diana’s presence in Pakistan, her visit to the Punjab Assembly, and an alleged marriage in Jhelum, shedding light on her movements in the country.

An alleged marriage certificate of Azerbaijani national Diana has also surfaced. According to the document, she was married in Jhelum, while a video shows her dressed as a bride.

Given the sensitivity of the matter, a high-level investigation is underway, with authorities closely examining all evidence and statements recorded before the court.

Muskan, a suspect nominated in the case, was presented before Judicial Magistrate Azhar Mahmood under tight security.

During the hearing, the state prosecutor argued that this was Muskan’s first physical remand and that her custody was necessary to advance the investigation.

The suspect’s lawyer objected, arguing that the police had nothing to recover from his client and that her physical remand could not be sought without charges related to murder or robbery. He further stated that Muskan’s relationship with Diana was limited to friendship.

During the hearing, the judicial magistrate asked Muskan whether she wanted to undergo a medical examination. She replied that she did not want to undergo a medical examination. The court subsequently reserved its decision on the remand.

Meanwhile, Diana’s statement recorded under Section 164 before Judicial Magistrate Muhammad Sagheer has also emerged.

In her statement, Diana told the court that she arrived in Islamabad from Istanbul on September 13 and later travelled to Lahore, where she met Nimra and Muskan.

Diana alleged that her friend Nimra had received money from the suspects for an event. She further alleged that three men, identified as Mohsin, Ahmed and Ali Zain, later confined her to a separate room in an apartment, where she was allegedly forced to consume alcohol and was sexually assaulted.

According to Diana, the suspects also took her iPhone, Redmi mobile phone and a bag containing Rs200,000 in cash before pushing her out of a vehicle. She said local residents subsequently helped her and informed the police through emergency helpline 15.

According to investigation officials, police have so far detained five people, including two women and three men, in connection with the case registered at Defence C Police Station. Six close associates of the main suspects are also being questioned.

Police officials said the medical report of the foreign national allegedly confirmed sexual assault. Images showing her presence at a café in Johar Town have also been recovered.

Authorities said search operations are underway to recover the two mobile phones and cash allegedly taken from the woman. The prosecutor has also sought the complete record to ensure a transparent investigation into the high-profile case.
