An Iranian cricket delegation held talks with Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) officials in Lahore on promoting and developing cricket in Iran and expanding bilateral cooperation between the two countries.
According to the PCB, the delegation met Chief Operating Officer Sumair Ahmed Syed and Pakistan Super League (PSL) Chief Executive Officer Salman Naseer.
The visitors toured Gaddafi Stadium, the Cricket Museum and the National Cricket Academy (NCA), where they reviewed training and other facilities available at the high-performance centre.
The discussions covered coaching support for Iran’s senior and junior national teams, exchange of coaching expertise and opportunities for Pakistani coaches to provide technical assistance to Iranian players and teams.
The two sides also discussed cooperation in developing cricket infrastructure and providing sports and cricket equipment for Iranian players at both junior and senior levels.
The PCB has previously signed a memorandum of understanding with Saudi Arabia to promote cricket in the Gulf country.
