Roma Riaz, who represented Pakistan at the Miss Universe 2025 pageant, has been appointed as the new national director of Miss Universe Pakistan.
Riaz announced her appointment on Instagram on Thursday, describing the new role as an honour and a significant responsibility.
She said she was grateful for the opportunity to continue working with the organisation and to help guide women who will represent Pakistan on the international stage.
Riaz also thanked Miss Universe franchise owner Josh Yugen for his trust and for allowing her to remain involved with the organisation. She expressed excitement about the new chapter and said she hoped to take Pakistan to greater heights on the global platform.
The announcement came in the Philippines, where Misbah Arshad was crowned Miss Universe Pakistan. Arshad will become the fourth Pakistani woman to compete at the Miss Universe pageant when she travels to Puerto Rico later this year for the 75th edition of the competition.
Before travelling to the Philippines, Riaz spoke to Images about her experience and the qualities she hoped to see in her successor. She described representing Pakistan internationally as the “biggest honour and responsibility” of her life.
