Sindh Governor Launches Khidmat-i-Sindh App to Address Public Complaints

Sindh Governor Nihal Hashmi has launched the Khidmat-i-Sindh mobile application, connecting 65 federal and provincial government departments and institutions to provide citizens with a direct platform for registering complaints and seeking information.

Addressing the launch ceremony at the Governor House, Hashmi said the application had been developed through the joint efforts of relevant government departments.

He explained that the platform would allow citizens to submit complaints and information requests directly to the concerned authorities through their mobile phones.

The governor said the initiative was intended to facilitate public service delivery rather than undermine any institution. He stressed that its primary objective was to resolve citizens’ problems promptly and make government departments more accountable.

He noted that ordinary citizens frequently faced difficulties in getting their legitimate concerns addressed, with many complaints remaining unresolved.

The Khidmat-i-Sindh application, he said, had been introduced to address these challenges by ensuring that public complaints reached the relevant departments directly and their resolution was pursued effectively.

Hashmi described the application as an important communication link between citizens and government institutions, enabling users to lodge complaints conveniently and monitor progress on their cases.

Emphasising collective responsibility for provincial development, he said all stakeholders must work together to improve public welfare and fulfil the vision of Quaid-i-Azam.

“No one will come from outside to ensure our progress and prosperity; we must work together ourselves,” he said.

Earlier, the governor’s Principal Secretary, Dr Saif-ur-Rehman, briefed participants on the application’s features and operating procedure.

He said citizens could register complaints of various kinds through the platform, which was available for download on the Google Play Store.

According to him, the relevant government department would be responsible for addressing each complaint once it was submitted through the application.

The platform would also enable citizens to report crimes, sanitation problems and other public issues affecting their daily lives. Users would be able to check the status of their complaints and track progress online.

The launch ceremony was attended by several officials, including the director general of the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) in Sindh and the additional inspector general of police, Karachi.
