At least three Palestinians were killed in Israeli strikes in different parts of the Gaza Strip on Saturday, according to medical and civil defence personnel.
One of the victims was killed in a strike near the Jabalia refugee camp in northern Gaza. The victim was reportedly the son of a senior health official who had previously lost a daughter and was wounded in an Israeli strike in December 2023.
The Israeli military said it had carried out strikes targeting several individuals in Gaza. The latest attacks came as the humanitarian situation in the territory continued to deteriorate.
At Al-Shifa Hospital in Gaza City, mourners gathered as the bodies of the victims were brought for burial.
Another strike killed a man in the Shejaia area east of Gaza City, while a separate strike targeted a vehicle in the Sheikh Radwan district, killing another person. The vehicle was heavily damaged in the attack.
The Israeli military said the strike in Sheikh Radwan targeted a member of Hamas.
Palestinian authorities say more than 73,000 people have been killed in Israel’s military offensive in Gaza since October 2023. The conflict has also caused widespread destruction and displacement across the territory.
