Saeed, with a visible sense of longing about her character, says in the opening scene, “Maybe nobody’s life is truly complete, everyone’s missing something.”

Irfani, presumably in response, says, “In life, instead of complaining about what you don’t have, you should be thankful for what you do.”

He later questions his wife why, after they’d spent so many years in love, she was doing “this” and where she found the courage to do it. What “this” is, is something we can only guess at because the teaser does not expand on it.

It does, however, show the two bickering about how things had gotten difficult ever since “this” happened, leading us to assume Saeed’s character maybe decided to pursue a career soon after having a child.

Definitive answers, of course, will only come later and so will the release date, with the channel saying the show is “coming soon”.

The drama has been written by Aliya Bukhari and directed by , who only recently finished her show  on ARY Digital. The show’s production, as with many HUM TV shows, was done by Momina Duraid Productions.

, gained critical acclaim, Emmad Irfani and Sanam Saeed are set to return to our television screens as a married couple in HUM TV’s upcoming drama Gulbahar.

The first teaser for the show dropped on Thursday and shows the couple with a baby and some undisclosed problems that set the stage for internal conflict.
