Netflix’s The Gentlemen season 2 has recorded a 48% increase in viewership during its second week, moving to the top of the streamer’s global English-language TV chart.
The Guy Ritchie crime series, starring Theo James and Kaya Scodelario, attracted 9.9 million views between September 7 and 15. The second season premiered on September 3 and recorded 6.7 million views in its first three days, placing it at No. 3 on Netflix’s previous weekly chart.
While season 2 has not yet matched the initial performance of the first season, the latest figures indicate continued interest in the series. The Gentlemen season 1 recorded 12.2 million views during its first three days after launching in March 2024.
The release of season 2 has also brought renewed attention to the first season. Despite debuting more than two years ago, season 1 climbed to No. 3 on Netflix’s English-language global TV chart for the latest week, recording more than 8 million views between September 7 and 15.
Combined, both seasons generated nearly 18 million views during the week, suggesting that new and returning audiences are engaging with the crime drama.
Created by Guy Ritchie, The Gentlemen follows Eddie Horniman, played by James, as he becomes involved in a criminal empire after inheriting his family estate. Scodelario plays Susie Glass, who manages the operation.
Netflix renewed The Gentlemen for a third season before season 2 premiered, signalling the continued expansion of the series. The show’s latest viewership figures come as Netflix continues to monitor how audiences respond to second seasons of its original productions.
