CM Bugti directs authorities to upgrade surveillance system

Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti has directed authorities to upgrade the province’s surveillance system and further strengthen the capabilities of the Balochistan Safe City Authority.

He issued the directives while chairing a meeting to review the authority’s performance.

The meeting was informed that the Safe City surveillance network had helped identify 138 stolen vehicles and detect nine suspicious activities in time, contributing to the prevention of major terrorist incidents.

The authority has also provided police with 631 pieces of evidence linked to various criminal cases, officials told the meeting.

The chief minister said the Safe City Authority was playing an important role in maintaining law and order, preventing crime and protecting the lives and property of citizens.

Separately, the provincial government ordered enhanced security measures across Balochistan to ensure foolproof security during the observance of 12th Rabiul Awwal.
