ATC Grants Pre-Arrest Bail to Four PTI Leaders

An Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) has granted pre-arrest bail to four Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leaders in multiple cases after hearing their fresh bail applications.

ATC Judge Abual Hasnat Muhammad Zulqarnain approved bail for Asad Qaiser, Atif Khan, Latif Khosa and Faisal Amin Gandapur, directing each of them to submit surety bonds of Rs5,000.

According to the court order, Qaiser was granted bail in nine cases, Khan in four, Khosa in three and Gandapur in six.

The court had dismissed their earlier pre-arrest bail applications a few days ago due to their repeated failure to appear. The four leaders subsequently submitted fresh applications, which were accepted after arguments from their lawyers.

Separately, the Islamabad High Court (IHC) has scheduled a petition filed by members of the National Dialogue Committee (NDC) for hearing on November 5. The petition seeks permission for the committee members to meet incarcerated PTI founder Imran Khan and his wife, Bushra Bibi, at Adiala Jail.

Justice Umer Majid Malik will hear the case on Thursday. The petition remains pending alongside objections raised by the court’s Registrar’s Office.

The petition was filed through senior lawyer Faisal Fareed Chaudhry on behalf of former federal minister Fawad Chaudhry, former Sindh governor Imran Ismail, Mahmood Baqi Molvi and Barrister Muhammad Ali Khan Saif.

The petitioners have named the interior secretary, Punjab home secretary and superintendent of Adiala Jail as respondents in the case.
