Chinese President Xi Jinping said that four principles are essential to resolving the Palestine issue.
First, he said, political compromise should be prioritised to achieve a two-state solution to the conflict.
Second, Palestinians should govern the West Bank and post-war Gaza, he added.
Xi Jinping said the third principle was to uphold humanitarian values and ensure the protection of civilians.
The fourth principle, he said, was to ensure justice and equality in addressing the issue.
