Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has praised outgoing Saudi Ambassador Nawaf bin Said Al-Malki for his contribution to strengthening Pakistan-Saudi Arabia’s longstanding fraternal and strategic relations.
According to the Prime Minister’s Office, the premier made the remarks during Al-Malki’s farewell call at the Prime Minister’s House in Islamabad following the completion of his diplomatic assignment. The ambassador has served in Pakistan since 2017.
Shehbaz congratulated Al-Malki on completing his tenure and commended his “outstanding contribution” to further strengthening bilateral ties.
The prime minister also conveyed his best wishes for the health and well-being of Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.
Al-Malki thanked the prime minister and the government for the cooperation, warmth and hospitality extended to him during his tenure. He described his stay in Pakistan as a memorable and rewarding experience and reaffirmed his commitment to further strengthening relations between the two countries.
Shehbaz wished the outgoing ambassador success in his future endeavours.
Earlier, Al-Malki paid a farewell visit to President Asif Ali Zardari, who also appreciated his efforts to strengthen bilateral ties. The ambassador had also met PML-N President Nawaz Sharif and Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz during his farewell engagements.
