Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) Islamabad President Amir Mughal has been inducted into the party’s Core Committee with immediate effect, according to a notification issued by Secretary General Salman Akram Raja.
The notification said the appointment was made under the powers vested in the party’s secretary general.
According to a PTI statement, Mughal was included in the party’s top consultative body in recognition of his services to the party and political experience.
Mughal thanked the secretary general for assigning him the responsibility and pledged to contribute to the party’s political struggle to the best of his abilities.
He said he would take part in consultations related to the campaign for the release of PTI founder Imran Khan.
