Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and his family have yet to issue any comment on the reports regarding his alleged wedding plans.
The clarification from Sindh Local Government Minister Murtaza Wahab, posted on X late Saturday night, came after reports circulated on social media claiming that the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) chairman and son of President Asif Ali Zardari was set to marry into a European family.
According to the reports, President Zardari had travelled to Liechtenstein, the small European principality located between Switzerland and Austria, to discuss arrangements and finalise a date for his son’s wedding.
Some reports further claimed that Bilawal’s prospective bride was a former Austrian princess.
The report was subsequently deleted.
On August 27, the Presidency said in a post on X that President Zardari “has proceeded abroad on a private visit”, without providing further details about his destination or the purpose of the trip.
