Bestway Automotive has been appointed as the sole authorised distributor of Geely vehicles in Pakistan, taking responsibility for sales and after-sales services across the country.
Group Managing Director Irfan Sheikh said the company plans to strengthen its long-term presence in Pakistan by promoting local manufacturing and developing a charging infrastructure to support electric vehicle adoption.
The launch features three models: the EX2 compact electric hatchback, the EX5 electric SUV, and the Starray EM-i, which uses range-extended electric vehicle technology.
Bestway Group stated that it has invested more than $350 million in Pakistan and generated 20,000 jobs over the past three years.
Meanwhile, Geely Auto International Corporation Vice President Evin Ye described Pakistan as the company’s first market in South Asia. He also highlighted Geely’s technological capabilities, noting that the automaker operates a low-Earth-orbit satellite network.
The launch marks a new development in Pakistan’s automotive sector, with the introduction of additional electric and electrified vehicle options as the industry explores localisation and charging infrastructure.
