Faysal Quraishi Clarifies Remarks, Praises Mohammed Ahmed for Not Naming and Shaming Fahad Sheikh

Actor Faysal Quraishi has clarified remarks he made about fellow actors Mohammed Ahmed and Fahad Sheikh after facing criticism over his response to an alleged incident of disrespect on a set.

In an Instagram story shared by his wife, Sana Faysal, Quraishi said he had “misspoken” when he described Sheikh’s apology as “big of Fahad”. He clarified that he intended to praise Ahmed for not publicly naming the actor involved while discussing the incident on a podcast.

Quraishi said he supported Sheikh’s apology but acknowledged that his earlier statement had been a mistake. He added that he planned to delete the original video but had not yet found the time.

Addressing claims that he was siding with Sheikh because of their friendship, Quraishi said Ahmed had been a close friend for around 25 years, adding that he considered both actors friends.

The clarification comes nearly a week after Ahmed spoke on a podcast about an unnamed young actor who had allegedly disrespected him on set. The comments prompted support from several members of the entertainment industry, including Quraishi, who initially said he wanted the actor’s name and would address the matter personally.

After a video allegedly showing the incident circulated on social media, Fahad Sheikh faced criticism and later apologised to Ahmed through Instagram Stories.

Quraishi subsequently urged fans to stop targeting Sheikh, particularly his family, and said the matter should be left between the two actors. He called on followers to avoid insults, abuse and online harassment, saying it was time to let the situation settle.
