Gold prices in Pakistan remain near record levels

The price of 24-karat gold in Pakistan remained at Rs486,536 per tola on Thursday, keeping the precious metal close to record highs following a recent rally.

Gold prices have remained above the Rs480,000-per-tola mark after several consecutive gains, with market participants closely watching the possibility of the price reaching the Rs500,000 psychological level.

In Lahore, 24K gold was trading at around Rs486,536 to Rs486,550 per tola, while lower-purity gold was available at comparatively lower rates.

International bullion prices remain a key factor influencing domestic gold rates, while fluctuations in the Pakistani rupee against the US dollar, local demand and investor sentiment also affect prices.

The final price paid by jewellery buyers may be higher than the quoted market rate due to making charges and other dealer costs.

Market participants are monitoring international gold prices and currency movements for signs of whether the current rally will continue.
