Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has praised outgoing Saudi Ambassador Nawaf bin Saeed Al-Malki for his contribution to strengthening Pakistan-Saudi Arabia’s longstanding fraternal and strategic relations.
According to the Prime Minister’s Office, Shehbaz congratulated Al-Malki on completing his diplomatic assignment and commended his efforts to further deepen bilateral ties.
The prime minister conveyed his best wishes for Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman. He also reaffirmed Pakistan’s appreciation for Saudi Arabia’s continued support, assistance and role in promoting regional peace and stability.
Al-Malki thanked the prime minister and the Pakistani government for their cooperation and hospitality during his tenure, describing his time in Pakistan as a memorable and rewarding experience. He also expressed his commitment to further strengthening relations between the two countries.
Shehbaz wished the outgoing ambassador success in his future endeavours.
The meeting came a day after the prime minister said Pakistan sought to transform its economic ties with Saudi Arabia into a mutually beneficial strategic economic partnership in line with Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman’s vision.
A high-level Saudi business delegation, led by Saudi-Pak Joint Business Council Chairman Prince Mansour bin Mohammad Al Saud, also met the prime minister at the PM House to discuss expanding economic cooperation and investment between the two countries.
