According to the state-run news agency, the deputy political commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), Aziz Ghanfari, said in a statement that if oil is not exported from Iran, no other country will be allowed to export oil either.
He said the Strait of Hormuz is under the full surveillance of the IRGC’s naval forces and that Iran should further strengthen its control over the waterway to enhance its security and deterrence capabilities.
Aziz Ghanfari said that if Iran is unsafe, no place in the region will remain safe, adding that if the Iranian people live under insecurity, people across the region will also face insecurity.
In another statement, the IRGC deputy political commander claimed that all US bases in the region had been rendered unusable.
He said the purpose of these bases was to ensure the security of regional countries and the United States, but they had now been reduced to piles of rubble.
