Bahrain’s Crown Prince and Prime Minister Sheikh Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa met Pakistan’s Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) chief, Lt Gen Muhammad Asim Malik, at Riffa Palace, with discussions focusing on bilateral ties, regional security and international developments.
According to the Bahrain News Agency, the Crown Prince underscored the strong relations between Bahrain and Pakistan and stressed the need to expand cooperation in various fields. He also praised Pakistan’s role in promoting regional security and stability.
The two sides discussed ways to strengthen bilateral coordination and exchanged views on matters of mutual interest, including the latest regional and international developments.
The meeting was attended by several senior Bahraini officials, including the Minister of the Prime Minister’s Court, Finance Minister, Deputy Interior Minister and Deputy National Security Adviser.
The meeting comes amid increased defence and security engagement between Pakistan and Bahrain, including recent high-level talks between their military officials.
