Pakistan Railways has suspended Jaffar Express services from Quetta to Peshawar on Aug 25 and 26, with authorities refunding fares to passengers who had booked tickets for the affected dates.
Railway officials confirmed that no Jaffar Express train would depart from Quetta for Peshawar on either day. They did not disclose the reason for the suspension.
The service has now been suspended at least three times this month.
Earlier, a Jaffar Express service travelling from Peshawar to Quetta was terminated at Jacobabad railway station.
