Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif’s daughter, Mahnoor, is set to get married on Saturday, with her nikkah ceremony scheduled to take place at the Sharif family’s residence in Jati Umra, a family source told Images on Thursday.
According to the source, Mahnoor’s marriage has been arranged with a member of a prominent business family. The ceremony is expected to be a private affair, attended by close relatives and extended family members.
Mahnoor has largely stayed away from the public spotlight, and the Sharif family has not announced details of a formal reception or other wedding celebrations.
The wedding follows Maryam Nawaz’s recent visit to London, where she attended her daughter’s graduation ceremony. The Punjab chief minister returned to Lahore on Wednesday.
Mahnoor’s brother, Junaid Safdar, married Shanzeh Ali Rohale, granddaughter of former lawmaker Shaikh Rohale Asghar, in January in a lavish ceremony.
Junaid’s second marriage was marked by several days of celebrations, including a green-themed mehndi, a traditional baraat and an outdoor valima held at the Sharif family’s Jati Umra estate.
