Some relatives staged a protest and demanded DNA tests to confirm the identities of the children.
The families said the bodies had been handed over to them without proper identification.
It may be recalled that 14 newborn babies were killed in a fire that broke out early Wednesday in the nursery of the gynaecology ward at PIMS Hospital in Islamabad.
